摘要 Abstract

近年西方社會冒起了一個備受社會學及宗教學關注的信仰群體，稱為spiritual but not religious （「靈性惟非信仰」，亦可譯「無宗教型靈性」）。與此同時，由近代法國哲學家皮埃爾．阿道（Pierre Hadot）主張的哲學作為一種精神或靈性修行（exercice spirituel）這個觀念，在近期西方哲學研究亦日受重視。本講座旨在對這兩個現象一併進行探討分析，並就當代宗教哲學與哲學神學如何面對「無宗教型靈性」作出認真及具建設性的回應。

In recent years, Western society has witnessed the emergence of a new demographic that identifies as “spiritual but not religious”, one which has received much attention in sociology and religious studies. Concurrently, Western philosophy has also shown much interest in the notion of philosophy as a way of life or what Pierre Hadot calls as a spiritual exercise (exercice spirituel). This seminar seeks to put these two phenomena into consideration together and offer ways in which contemporary philosophy of religion and philosophical theology can engage with the notion of non-religious spirituality in a serious and constructive manner.
